The Great Egg drop was on Monday 23th February. It was Room 20 who did it. There were four contestants who participated. The contestants had to design a gizmo, not mechanical. So they had to throw their device from a particular height to the ground and protect an egg from the collision. Four
contestants participated in this event,the main idea is to prevent the egg from not cracking. all of the contestants had a parachute so it descends (kinda like glide)the speed of the gizmo. one of contestants had a balloon at the bottom so when it collides to the ground it takes the most damage,its kinda like when hits the ground there’s no boom. (maybe a bounce) Some of the Egg drop Devices were brilliant! all of the contestants protected the egg pretty well,from destruction.
the one I liked was Jordans one .It had Kebab sticks so the egg is protected.It also had a egg carton and paper parachute .the gizmo survived two drops. The kebab sticks help it a lot from hitting to ground. the paper parachute descended the speed of the gizmo.
it was fun to watch!!
